Bachelor of Finance

The Bachelor of Finance is a 3 ½ year programme with the objective to produce graduates with thorough knowledge and technical abilities in finance to meet with the increase in the market demand for finance graduates.  The Bachelor of Finance programme allows students to embark on careers in fields of finance such as risk management, funds management, banking, investment analysis and financial analysis.

Aim of the Programme 

To produce graduates who exhibit a strong knowledge base and technical competency in finance. 

Learning Outcomes of the programme 

At the end of the programme students are expected to:

• Apply quantitative and qualitative financial knowledge in the conduct of their career.

• Implement corporate social responsibility that is related to different institutions and financial services.

• Analyse financial information using the instruments and mechanisms available to solve financial problems.

Entry Requirement

Malaysian Applicants:

 

  1. Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least:
    • grade C in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia or July paper; and
    • pass in History; and
    • pass in English Language

      AND

  2. Possess any one of the following qualifications:

     

  1. Pass the Matriculation Programme of the Ministry of Education (Malaysia) with a minimum CGPA of 3.30, with
    • at least Grade B+ in Mathematics; and
    • at least Grade B+ in either Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Physics or Chemistry

       

  2. Pass the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.30, with
    • at least Grade B+ in the subject of Mathematics, and
    • at least Grade B+ in either Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Physics or Chemistry

       

  3. GCE “A” level with at least Grade B in Mathematics and a minimum Grade B in either Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Physics or Chemistry,

     

  4. Australia Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT) with a minimum ATAR rank of 80 points; and
    • a minimum score of 16 points (High Achievement) in Mathematics; and
    • a minimum score of 16 points in either Accounting & Finance, Business Management & Enterprise, Chemistry, Economics or Physics.

       

  5. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum score of 35 points; and
  • a minimum grade 5 (Higher Level) in Mathematics; and
  • a minimum grade 5 in either Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics or Physics.

 

3.       Achieve a minimum of Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET); and


4.       Pass the University Entrance Interview.
